There is nothing to review...

...Because there is nothing there, ffs!!

Well...

You need looooots of practise! Start by getting the beats and other sounds right I would. Make sure they are in sequence!

This is awesome! But...

and this is a but as big as Jennifer Lopez's... this song is all progress and no hook or main! By which I mean you never bring the song to a climax, which is extremely annoying!

Good sounds and everything though, this is not that bad if you're not bothered there is no beat.

Wow! Very nice!

This has definitely been neglected by the NG community! This deserves much more credit than its been given!

This is not ur run of the mill trance tune! You've made trance sound jazzy, and it's totally awesome! Nice job!

Dude!

I love this song! I downloaded it ages ago, but didn't think to review, so here I am, reviewin' =)

Where the hell did you get that old radio sounding sample from? It's brilliant! And as for the bass and tingly synth, they go so well together, and it sounds nice 'n' raspy =P The beat is just a great add!

Nice work dude, love it!

Yeah, you got me...

It's an ok song. It's pretty standard to be honest, beacuse the kick and bass sound a bit weak to me, and the lead needs more reverb.

But the one thing you should know is: "BOUNC3" actually has a zero in it, not an 'O', so i'm not sure you really do have his approval if you don't use his proper name.

And no, i'm not critisising your song because of that, but then again if it didn't have "BOUNC3" on it, i probably wouldn't have bothered. More fool me tho, i shoulda noticed the lack of the '0', but please don't do that again.

Not bad, make an ok club track. 6/10

You have a loooong way to go! Here's some tips...

It's not just because you used presets that don't like this, it is also because they don't even go well together.

Make your own synths and tunes dude! I did with Dance 7 eJay, and people love my Peanut Butter Jelly Time Remix! (sorry for advertising)

Plus there are a couple of problems which can easily be solved with a bit of tweaking.
1. Click at start
You can here that at the very start of the tunes sometimes after you have converted a song, but what I do is move all of the smaples over one bar, then when I convert, I delete the click with the Sound Recorder by moving 1 second forward on it, then deleting what is behind, then saving
2. Low volume
For this, all you need to do is use a compressor in the Master FX. Switch one on in there, then move the Gain up to about 50-65, turn he threshold to about 20-30 and the attck to 3-8. This way you'll get a clear sound with minimal distortion.

Tips for bass:
Set the top sound to Square and set it to Octave 12 and Semitone 12, then add another sound which you think sounds good with it. This way you can get a nice thick bassline which can be used for lots of things.

Tips for effects:
Do not neglet to use a little reverb whereever you can, it makes the tune sound full and in some cases, deep. The equaliser which is automatically set to 'Beefed Up' can be used to make kicks sound hard and punchy, but if you want to master the entire song, you can use the equaliser in the Master FX, and set the frequencies how you want them.

Tips for drums:
Unless you place to freq curve a drum loop, you can set the Freq Q to 1, which will give you drums a much clearer sound.

Hope I have been of some assitance to you. Hope you make more songs, but without presets, if you please. Don't worry, it took me about a year to get to grips with the bassline and synth.

Good luck! You can e-mail me if you need any tips, i'll let ya ;)

Thanks for your many tips. Yes I used presets and mostly ready recorded samples. I have lack of inspiration to realy try and learn more, but when I get back of training I try to follow your tips. Thanks for your honest opinion, I appreciate it.

You've done it again!

This song is totally awesome! I just love the raver arpeggios!
The reason i gave you a 9 instead of a 10 was because when you curved out the frequency of the first part, at some point between 13-14 seconds, i thought there should be a beat and a drum & bass kick on it like you did in Speed Melody.
Overall though, a totally beautiful song to listen to. Nice work once again!

Awesome beat & bass...

However, it seemed a bit empty.
I would've loved a trance clap/snare to come in on the 2nd and 4th beats at the start, and a bit of synth going with it. It reminded me of Put UR Hands Up For Detroit, so there its not far off greatness! When the other bit came in, it kinda ruined it for me. Come on dude! Give us a lil Fedde Le Grande! =P
I hope you consider adding to that part during the 1 min and making it more of progressive tune than a transition one, because it would sound about 100 times better if you did. The beat and bass also need to be more consistant throughout the song. It is rare that people can get away with changing a beat and bass like that. Still great work, a potential floorfiller.
P.S. The voice at the end is cool =P Rude to ask, but is it ok if I record it and use it?

zer1 responds:

Yeah... I know. I'm kinda new to techno/dance, in fact I'm new to the music making hobby, lol. (Maybe I can make it a job someday, heh). Yeahhhh, I know I kinda wrecked it, not really sure why I uploaded but w/e. And THANKS! Tips are great, because going to dance music from metal, is kinda hard. Seriously, thanks for the review 123641265891265 times, lol I needed the help.

Nah, it's ok, not rude at all. You may use the voice at the end. But if you don't record it too well, download mixcraft, the trial or w/e and it's in one of the sample sections. (The programs not too big, so it won't take long :P)

Duuuuude!

If you made this when you were drunk, what the hell can you do when you are sober??

Everything was in the right place! The drum kick and bass were hard as hell, and the gabber sounds were perfectly intergrated! Man, I could go on, but I'd run out of characters and time to look through more of your songs. 5/5, 10/10, D'loaded!!
